Obsah vzdelávania nám určuje Štátny vzdelávací program, z ktorého si školy vytvárajú podľa vlastných vízií a podmienok školské vzdelávacie programy. Náš Školský vzdelávací program má názov: Škola, ktorej to myslí.
K školskej psychologičke pribudol školský špeciálny pedagóg, sociálna pedagogička a pedagogickí asistenti.
Činnosť pani vychovávateliek a aktivity klubu manažuje pani Simona Matuská. Druhým školským zariadením je školská jedáleň, ktorú vedie vedúci Marek Ravasz. Jedálny lístok zostavuje a v kuchyni diriguje pán šéfkuchár Rudy.
Žiakom ponúkame pestrú mimoškolskú činnosť a športové aktivity. Pevné hodnoty vychádzajú z 51. ročnej tradície školy. Pedagógovia a odborní zamestnanci ich dokážu spájať s modernými súčasnými trendami. Naša škola je partnerom žiakov a rodičov.
Dear Colleagues, students and our dear hosts from abroad,
Welcome to our Primary and Secondary School in Slovakia, in the Capital city of Bratislava, in the area Karlova Ves. My name is Eva Hornikova and I have been working at this school for 21 years. For the last 8 years I have been the Headmistress. Allow me to shortly tell you about our school. This school year we have 548 students. In the Primary School are students aged 6 to 9, divided into 13 classes. In the secondary school we have students up to 15 years old. Later they continue their education at a gymnazium/sixth form or go onto a middle school/college focused on a specific skill or profession.
The content of our studies is determined by the State Educational Plan, which each school uses and adapts according to the schools specific vision and needs. Our education program is called The school that thinks! I believe that even in a short time we will be able to show you our school, our city and our country, Slovakia, as thinkers and a beautiful place to live.
The management of the school consists of Martina Lošonska, who is already known to you as the co-ordinator of Erasmus plus. She is also responsible to meet the needs of the teachers as Deputy Head of the Primary School. Gabika Tomašova is responsible for the Secondary School, which includes the obligatory testing of all the 5th and 9th Graders, which applies to all students all over Slovakia. The State tests knowledge of these students once a year. In the year 2020 and 2021 these students were not tested due to the Pandemic Situation.
Four years ago we started to think about the integration of students, students with disabilities, as more of them started to attend our school. We are learning to respect differences, that show themselves in different ways. We started to create positions for specialists in these areas. A school physchologist joined the school, a special needs teacher, school social worker and teaching assistants. More and more often we use the word inclusion. In our school the Inclusive Education Team is led by Adam Škopp. I am sure he will be happy to intorduce you to his team.
Our Primary and Secondary Schools also includes Before and After School Clubs and the School Kitchen. The club is opened from 6.30 am to 17.30 pm. It is for students of the Primary School, who are divided into mixed groups. At the moment we have 11 groups in our before and after school programmes. Simona Matuska manages the Club tecahers and activities . Marek Ravasz is in charge of the school kitchen. But Rudy is the main chef who create and cooks the menu. Today, tomorrow and Friday you will have the opportunity to taste his creations.
We pride ourselves on our modernly equipped classrooms and the areal around school which allows us to also teach outdoors. We offer our students a rich collection of out of school activities, including sports activities. Our firm tradtions come from the past 51 years since our school was founded. The teaching and specialist members of staff enable us to combine and include modern trends in our teaching. Our school is a partner with its students and parents.
Thank you our dear hosts partners in the project, from Greece, Romania, Turkey, Portugal and Lithuania that you accepted our invitation to come to Slovakia. Especially during these covid times and when there is not peace everywhere in the world, I personally appreciate your presence.
You were welcomed by students in the traditional Slovak dress and were given bread and salt, because in our country, bread is a symbol of hospitality and salt symbolises protection and health.
The Folklore Group Dolina is a part of our school. They danced the joyful dance which is named čardáš. We believe that together this week we will be just as happy and joyful. Please, accept my invitation to an informal dinner this evening in the restaurant D14, in the capital city.
We will meet again later our dear friends.
